USA Swimming Safe Sport
The Woodmoor Tsunamis Swim Team is a USA Swimming Safe Sport Recognized Club. As a part of our commitment to our members, WTST has put in place all the required policies to ensure our athletes have a fun, healthy and safe environment. In addition, Safe Sport also provides policies, education, a reporting structure, and tools that are intended to serve our members as we work together to maintain this environment. Learn more about USA Swimming Safe Sport Best Practices HERE.
Coach, Officials & Chaperones Mandatory Athlete Protection Training - this Safe Sport certification is required for all adult members of USA Swimming, including coaches, officials, chaperones, meet directors and adult athletes.
Online Safe Sport for Athletes and Parents - Safe Sport provides online training for both athletes (Safe Sport for Athletes) and parents (Parents Guide to Misconduct in Sports) offering an introduction to Safe Sport, protection measures, and reporting information. The course available to both members and non-members of USA Swimming, and is free. The course is optional; however, WTST receives points toward USA Swimming Safe Sport Recognition based on the percentage of registered households that have completed it so we strongly encourage all parents and athletes to get involved.
